Originally from the UK, Karen has been living in Dubai for 17 years working as a Personal Assistant and then as a Relocation Consultant. Six years ago she decided to make a career change from Relocation and follow her life long love of fitness training with a goal to become a Personal Trainer. Karen holds a Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training from Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ) and is also a Specialist in Fitness for Older Adults (ISSA) and Certified Fitness Instructor (ISSA).
Karen enjoys training people of all ages and levels of fitness. However her strength lies in one-on-one training with older adults or with those individuals who are just starting out or returning to a healthy lifestyle and prefer to ease into physical exercise at a pace that suits them. Karen believes that exercising regularly and eating a healthy well-balanced diet is the key to a healthy, active and independent later-life and is keen to encourage others to embark on an active lifestyle – it’s never too late to start!! She has extensive experience at training people in different environments such as the gym, park, beach or at home, whatever suits the clients needs in terms of timetable and personal preference.
